36 ServiceNow Influencers to Follow in 2020 [Acorio’s Annual List]

It’s that time of year again – welcome to our second annual list of who to follow in the ServiceNow ecosystem. Last year’s list of 28 industry influencers was one of our most popular articles we published in 2019 – in fact, just one of the LinkedIn posts we made to share the blog generated over a thousand views, 540 clicks and 40+ shares on our network alone.
Of course, 2020 is a different kind of year… Among other things, without Knowledge, the Future of Works, and other in-person ServiceNow events or developer meet-ups, it may feel like you have limited opportunities to network and expand your platform knowledge (Though, we are looking forward to being a Premier Sponsor at next month’s Digital Now @Work!)
We’re not only ones. The New York Times recently dug into the increase in online searching, learning and news consumption by analyzing website and app traffic data from February to April. Based on their findings, they reported that people today are looking for more ways to connect on social media outlets during quarantine. This shouldn’t come as a big surprise – as we all remain indoors; we can’t help but seek out connections on digital platforms that allow us to feel ‘together’ with our friends and peers even when we’re physically apart.
If you are looking for more connections to the ServiceNow community, this might also be the time to boost your ServiceNow connections and learning online.
But how do you find tangible ways to do that — especially when you might be starting to feel (or are already well past the point of being) online meeting-ed out?
30+ ServiceNow Influencers to Follow in 2020
Last year, Acorio published a list of top ServiceNow influencers to follow on social media. This year we’re returning with a new updated list of who our team follows – complete with our perennial favorites and some new voices for 2020. The list below is a great kick-start for you to get direct access to developer tips, insights on evolving platform strategies, and industry predictions straight from the experts.
(These accounts are also all great examples of personal brands – if you’re new to social media and looking to break onto the scene, this list is a great starting point to get inspiration for using social media to build your personal brand and recognition in the ServiceNow ecosystem.)
So… without further ado, here are the 36 people I follow from the ServiceNow ecosystem – and I would recommend that you should, too.
With more than 200,000 followers on LinkedIn and 54,000 followers on Twitter, ServiceNow’s dynamic CEO takes the #1 spot on our list. McDermott is the key ServiceNow leader and a must-follow if you’re wanting to stay up to date on the platform’s latest strategic and technological news. Sharing varied content from new ServiceNow commercials to business podcast segments, McDermott is always sharing valuable content that looks to the future of work.
Next on our list is ServiceNow CIO, Chris Bedi. Another ServiceNow veteran, Bedi has 5 years under his belt with the ServiceNow team. Make sure to follow the ServiceNow CIO on LinkedIn to stay in the loop.
Alan Marks is a public relations, brand and corporate communications executive with 30+ years of business experience at leading global consumer brands and Silicon Valley technology companies. He currently is Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at ServiceNow, and has worked with the platform since May of 2017. Marks is active on LinkedIn, where you can keep up with the great content he’s crafting at ServiceNow, like the platform’s newest commercial for their safe Workplace suite.
Making the jump from ServiceNow’s Chief Strategy Officer to Chief Customer and Partner Officer back in July of this year, Caimi now focuses on customer outcomes, experiences, and alliances, along with the channel ecosystem and training & certification organization. Most recently, she was featured in ServiceNow’s blog to discuss the evolution of ServiceNow’s go-to-market functions. We’re eager to see more content from Caimi in the future, but in the meantime, you can stay updated on her work by following her on LinkedIn.
ServiceNow’s Chief Revenue Officer as of July of this year, Haverty has spent the last 9 years working as a VP of Sales (for the Americas, then worldwide) for the platform. ServiceNow’s Chief Product Officer joined the team at ServiceNow nearly four years ago. Mr. Desai also currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Zebra Technologies Corp., an enterprise asset intelligence company. You can follow him on LinkedIn to stay get the platform’s latest updates, but make sure to also take a look at all the blogs that he has authored for ServiceNow.

Chris Pope serves as ServiceNow’s VP of Innovation, working with business transformation leaders to understand their vision and challenge the status quo to ultimately transform traditional approaches to business. Aaron Fulkerson is a Product leader for the Customer Support Product at ServiceNow. Active on Twitter and LinkedIn, Murphy is a great ServiceNow influencer to follow – his work centers all around the changing relationship between people and technology in the workplace.
Marshall Tyler, VP and Global Head of Industry Solutions at ServiceNow, is on a mission to “make the world of work, work better for people” by overseeing the development of innovative solutions for customers’ industry-specific business issues. Part of a team dedicated to furthering ServiceNow’s verticalization strategy, he’s been interviewed on the strategy by Bloomberg Quint and is active on LinkedIn.
Currently the General Manager of ServiceNow’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry team, Mike Luessi has previously held positions at Salesforce, Unisys, Target Corp, and more – where he worked collaboratively across sales, sales enablement, marketing, product development, alliances, go to market, and enterprise IT management.
