The landing page for my CreatorCon 2024 lab session was such a hit that I thought I would create posts for my previous labs as well. Also, by some strange coincidence, someone asked for the “One Flow to Rule Them All” artifacts today. Kismet!

I did my best to provide links to current (as of May 2024) ServiceNow Documentation pages relevant to this older session content. ServiceNow started archiving previous Knowledge conference content from Now Learning before K24, so, unfortunately, there is no recording to accompany these artifacts.

Session Overview

Join Certified Master Architect Carleen Carter as she guides you through creating a dynamic data-driven flow that can handle approvals, tasks, and more. Coupled with a data lookup table this flow can be used on multiple catalog items, allowing you to scale your catalog quickly, efficiently, and with consistency. Along the way, we will cover best practices on how to build for scalability and delegated administration, all using low and no-code solutions. You’ll come away with a great foundation for your next Service Catalog project!

Getting Started

The lab was built on a fresh baseline instance on the San Diego version; so you should be able to replicate this with no problem in your Personal Developer Instance (PDI)!

Obligatory Disclaimers

  • The lab was built to create a specific scenario for the session topic. I believe it should work on any ServiceNow-supported version, but each instance is unique, so your mileage may vary.
    • SN Major version: San Diego
    • No additional plugins or store apps were used at the time.
  • Files are provided as is, with no warranty or support implied.
  • TLDR: Proceed at your own risk and be a good human.
